We are reaching out to all our suppliers to start a conversation about how we can respond to the climate crisis collectively.
This year’s extreme heat has made it clear that the problem is urgent and only getting worse. We acknowledge the need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adapt quickly, but we need your help to succeed. We are most effective when working together.
We recently took part in the Climate Springboard accelerator run for free by Edinburgh Climate Change Institute. Their team has helped us to set realistic but ambitious targets, which include reducing emissions from our supply chain.
Our detailed net zero strategy is attached to this email. You can read our targets plus the actions we've committed to take to reduce emissions from our operations, as this is where we have the most control. We hope this demonstrates that we are doing our bit to tackle the climate emergency.
The aim of this email is to open a conversation about what we can do collectively. To kick things off, please can you share with us your climate action plan and/or most recent organisation carbon footprint? If you don't have anything in place yet, we’d still be interested in hearing where you are on this subject.
It's important to stress that we are serious about reaching our supply chain targets. Going forward, we will be contacting you more often to work together on this and support you with your commitments.
